With theprogramme“Teaching Models”, the BauhausDessau Foundation aims to examine the contemporaryrelevance of the pedagogical heritageof the Bauhaus and its reception in artschools worldwide. Invitations are extended touniversities, art schools and educational initiativesin the design disciplines that practice interestingmodels of design pedagogy.These models should fit within the framework ofthree approaches:Firstly, new models of experimental aestheticeducation for personal development in democraticimmigration societies.Secondly, new pedagogical approaches to acreative way of dealing with the new challengesin the material culture.Thirdly, teaching and learning projects that overcomethe divisions between applied and fine art,between art and architecture, sculpture and film,painting and textile design, but also practice andteaching.
